The famous Sun God Temple is situated in Arasavalli, East of Srikakulam Town. It is the only temple where Trikala Archanas to the Sun God are performed.
Lord Devendra installed the Idol of the Sun God. This temple has the unique feature of attracting the people of different sects, cults and creeds together and make them believe that God is one, that is the Sun God only.
In this temple the Maha Soura Yagas were performed 3 times. This year due to the Grahasanchara, the bad situations such as kalasarpa and Kujastambhana etc., doshas disturb the people and Government in many ways. So the pandits and stalwarts decided to perform Maha Soura Yaga and Maha Kumbhabhishekham for the welfare of the people in the entire universe.

In connection with the Mahatsava mahapurnaauhthi bhasmadharana, Avabhrithasnanam (Sacred bath) will be performed to mark the conclusion of the Mahasourayaga.
The yagaphala of Mahasourayaga will be offered at the Lotus Feet at the pratyaksha daiva Lord Sri Suryanarayana Swamy by the Archarya and Brahma.

Note:-
01. Everyday holy speeches and messages will be delivered by the Peethadhipatees, eminent pandits and scholars.
02. In the Evening cultural programme, music concerts and pouranika dramas will be arranged by the Donars.
